TRISTAN'S STORY

Tristan’s journey began with signs that first showed up in his eyes. When his mother, Marie, raised her concerns, they were dismissed. An eye specialist told her it was only a minor eye turn, said an MRI was not needed, and delayed the scan she fought for. By the time Tristan was properly diagnosed with DIPG, a rare form of brain cancer, precious time had been lost and the illness had advanced.

“Through three brave years, Tristan taught everyone around him about courage, joy, and never giving up. And his mother learned how much it matters for families to be truly heard.”

The Tristan Vision Foundation carries his memory forward.

WHY THE FOUNDATION EXISTS

Nobody should have to suffer alone.

We believe cost should never stand between a person and getting started on their vision improvement journey, and that no one searching for answers should ever go unheard. Too many people go without the vision care they need, either because they cannot afford it or because their concerns were never taken seriously. This foundation exists to change that, turning Tristan’s story into advocacy for others, so that his light continues to reach the people who need it most.
